Information on monetary benefits from Europ Assistance

This information sheet contains an overview of the monetary benefits that UBS Switzerland AG (“UBS”) receives from Europ Assistance Versicherungen AG (“Europ Assistance”) as compensation for the referral of new members to the UBS Travel Insurance Plus collective insurance contract between UBS and Europ Assistance. The offer is available to UBS clients in combination with a UBS credit card.

UBS receives compensation of 24–33% of the insurance premium from Europ Assistance. In return, UBS promotes UBS Travel Insurance Plus to UBS credit card holders and also performs administrative tasks (e.g. administration of contracts, collection of premiums, preparation of communication materials, statistics). The resulting personnel, technical (e.g. IT infrastructure) and other expenses are compensated by the aforementioned compensation.

Monetary benefits can lead to conflicts of interest at UBS. In particular, they can create an incentive to treat Europ Assistance preferentially in comparison to other providers without monetary benefits or with lower monetary benefits. UBS has taken appropriate organizational measures to minimize the risks arising from conflicts of interest.
