Overview

The investment group invests indirectly via indexed investment funds worldwide in equities as well as in fixed- and variable-rate securities (inflation-linked in part).

Strategy indices are also used for foreign equities.

Their weighting deviates deliberately from the market capitalization in order to maximize factor premiums (e.g. value weighted, quality) or to reduce the investment risk (e.g. minimum volatility).

The share of equity investments ranges between 68% and 82%.

The investment horizon should therefore have a term of at least 10 years.

The hedged share of the foreign currency exposure is at least 75%.

Besides the broad diversification – different asset classes that in turn invest is several thousand individual securities – the investment group is defined by low administration costs (e.g. research or transaction costs).

The investment group has an average equity component of over 50% and therefore exceeds the defined category limit for equities under Art. 55 BVV 2. Because of the higher equity component, this investment group has a greater risk exposure than investment products with a maximum equity component of 50%.

The investment group therefore meets the investment regulations under the Ordinance on Occupational Retirement, Survivors' and Disability Pension Plans (BVV 2) and the Ordinance on Investment Foundations (ASV).
